I love the idea of using the holiday lights to brighten our home.
The lights are a great way to get into the home, but since there are so many lights we can’t get into, I’m going to do something different. This can be done with a lantern or a pair of sunglasses – the light is just enough to brighten the house.
I can’t think of a better way to brighten our home with the lights than with these really cheap, really beautiful, and cheap to buy holiday lights.

The video also says that the lights are not part of this game’s plot, so I guess this is just another example of the developer trying to hype the game up for an eventual release. The only hint I got was that they were being used as props for some sort of movie.
